Non-Surgical Procedures

Facial Rejuvenation

Over time, our skin changes as a result of aging, sun damage and several other factors, causing wrinkles, pigmentation and scarring to develop on our faces. Many patients unhappy with these changes seek cosmetic treatments to restore their appearance and maintain a beautiful, youthful and fresh face. These nonsurgical treatments safely and effectively enhance the appearance of the skin while still allowing patients to look like themselves.

While aging and sun damage are the most common causes of unwanted skin changes, certain conditions can also negatively affect the appearance of the skin, such as:

  • Pollution
  • Poor diet
  • Lack of exercise
  • Smoking
  • Hormonal changes
  • Medical conditions such as acne and rosacea
  • Genetics

There are several different treatments available to help reverse or improve facial changes and allow patients to restore a refreshed, younger-looking appearance that reflects the way they feel about themselves. Many patients choose to combine one or more rejuvenation options, or to combine their treatment with plastic surgery procedures such as a facelift or brow lift to maximize results.

Your doctor will recommend the most effective treatment option(s) for you after a thorough evaluation of your skin, your medical history and your goals for treatment. Choosing an experienced doctor that you trust to perform your treatments is an important factor in achieving your desired results.

Facial Fillers

Fillers such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, Restylane®, Dysport® and Juvéderm® Injectable Gel treat wrinkles and folds within targeted areas of the skin, while also restoring lost volume through simple, safe and effective injection treatments. Many patients choose fillers to improve the appearance of wrinkles within the nasolabial folds, crow’s feet and furrows in the brow. These injections usually last for at least four months, depending on the type of filler and the individual patient, and can be repeated to maintain results. To learn more information about:

Fat Grafting

Fat grafting is a cosmetic surgery technique that can be used to enhance or plump up different areas of the body as an alternative to synthetic implants. During this procedure, fat from the patient’s own body (usually in the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks) is extracted and then injected into another area that is lacking sufficient fat volume and fullness, such as in the face, breasts, buttocks or any other area.

Lip Enhancement

Full and vivacious lips have always been recognized as aesthetically important features. Some of us, however, are born with thin, ill-defined lips, or our lips lose their fullness with age. But the appearance of our lips is now within our control. Fine lines and wrinkles, thin lips and a drooping corner of the mouth are all areas that can be aided with injectable fillers. The market is ever changing, with new products appearing rapidly. Care is individualized to provide safe and effective treatment options.

Microdermabrasion uses a gentle stream of tiny particles to exfoliate the outer layer of skin and produce a fresh, glowing, younger appearance with improved texture, tone and complexion. Only a small amount of skin is removed during this procedure, so all areas of the face can be effectively treated, without any risk of tissue damage. Multiple treatment sessions may be needed in order for patients to achieve the appearance they desire.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels removed damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring and remove blemishes and pre-cancerous growths, producing healthy, glowing skin. There are three different types of chemical peels: alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and phenol. They range in strength from mild to strong and are each designed to provide different results, depending on a patient’s skin condition.

Most facial rejuvenation treatments are minimally invasive procedures that can be performed in your doctor’s office with virtually no risk of complications. Patients often experience mild side effects such as redness, peeling, bruising or discoloration after treatment, but these effects subside on their own as healing progresses.

With our comprehensive facial rejuvenation services, you do not have to deal with the effects of aging on your face. Younger skin and an enhanced overall appearance can be easily achieved with one or more of our advanced treatment options.
